Start with a twenty-minute option
Autumn memory cards need paper and pens. Ask each person to write one specific memory or hope, then decorate the card with a leaf outline. People can keep the cards private or share them by choice.
A warm drink pause is another short option when the group prefers conversation. Choose drinks suited to the people present and let guests talk about a favorite seasonal color or smell.
Use a paper activity
For leaf rubbings, put a dry leaf under thin paper with its veins facing up. Rub the side of a crayon across the paper, then label the texture. Try several leaves to compare patterns without needing to identify a species.
For a window display, cut paper leaves from the downloadable template and arrange them on a backing suitable for your window. Check the backing before attaching it to a surface.
Allow a longer craft block
A paper garland or placemat can fit in roughly forty-five minutes for a small group if templates are printed first. A wreath may take closer to an hour because the cardboard base and layers need attention.
Those are planning estimates, not promises. More people, smaller children, or a slower printer can change the timing.
Set up the table
Place scissors, paper, crayons, and a scrap container where people can reach them. Print one extra template page in case a leaf is cut incorrectly. Offer a non-cutting job, such as choosing colors or arranging shapes, so everyone can take part.
